On November 7, 2020, Rudy Giuliani stood in the parking lot of Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philadelphia to hold one of the most important press conferences of the presidential election. Whether the location was the result of a misunderstanding, a last-minute change, or an intentional decision remains debated, but the event immediately became one of the strangest moments in modern political history. Could this have been a glitch in the Matrix?

Here was one of the most well-funded political organizations in the world, representing a president whose career had been built on luxury hotels and real estate. Even if the wrong location had initially been chosen, countless people would have been involved before the cameras rolled. Staff, security, media, campaign officials, advance teams, and advisors. At any point, someone could have corrected the mistake, changed venues, or simply delayed the press conference. With the most vein administration in American presidential history it is shocking that the ceremony commenced without hesitation.
Video game characters will spawn on top of each other, get stuck standing in a car, launch across a room with no warning. Search engines will provide wrong or misleading information. When these things happen, the NPC’s around them don’t stop to question the mechanics behind the blunders, and when this event went along like it was natural while the world watched in amazement thinking “how is no one stopping this?” “how did no one see this as a mistake?” “how did no one say anything?” It feels reminiscent of a glitch.
Either way, it’s hilarious. Can you think of any other glitches like this, where the players could all see but the characters stood around like it was the plan all along?
